About Derrick
Maker & fixer
I bring the same patience and attention to a portrait, a book layout and a difficult equipment fault. Good work should feel intentional—and it should work for the person receiving it.

Visual craft meets practical problem-solving.
My creative work began with photography and grew into Photoshop design, posters, album artwork, websites, brand imagery and independent publishing. Those foundations still matter: composition, editing, hierarchy and detail.
My technical career includes diagnosing, repairing, installing and managing arcade games, claw machines and other amusement equipment. I have worked with displays, bill acceptors, card readers, QR scanners, control boards and electronics, along with remote troubleshooting, employee training, parts, inventory and equipment deployment.
POS installation and support formed part of that employer-specific work, including Cantaloupe/ePort and Kiosoft systems. It is presented here as professional experience, not as a public repair service for unrelated POS accounts.
Mad Cat Creations and Buzz & Thread extend the creative practice into story development and publishing. I direct the ideas, edit the results and carry each project through production.
